This past weekend, it was announced that Kristen Alderson would be leaving the role of Lauren “Kiki” Jerome on ABC Daytime’s “General Hospital.” Fans literally saw the actress grow up on screen on both “GH” and “One Life to Live,” where she played the role of Starr Manning since the age of 6. After “OLTL” was canceled on ABC, Alderson would bring the Starr Manning character to Port Charles in 2012, and played it up until 2013.
Due to the legal conflicts between Prospect Park and ABC, Alderson came back later in the year to portray a new character named Lauren “Kiki” Jerome. She would soon win an Daytime Emmy Award for Younger Actress that year for her time as Starr, however (which was deserved, by the way).
Two days ago, Alderson posted a classy farewell video to her fans explaining why she is leaving the show. Watch the video below.
