Alison Sweeney is in development to star and executive produce a new Hallmark Original Movie, entitled, “Radio Hype.” The actress will play the role of a radio DJ who moves to Chicago for her boyfriend and a new hosting gig. However, her relationship suddenly ends, and begins revealing her troubles to a competing shock jock. The two must work together, and more is revealed about both of them than they ever realized.
This news comes hot off the heels of it being announced that Sweeney will be directing episodes at the ABC Daytime soap, “General Hospital.” She also served as director on several “Days of our Lives” episodes, and hosts the reality weight loss competition show, “The Biggest Loser.”
Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President of Programming/Crown Media Family Networks, released the following statement:
