The Buzz attended the Daytime Emmy Nominee Reception at the London – West Hollywood, where the daytime community celebrated this year’s nominees. We spoke to several of the attendees on the red carpet.

Hillary B. Smith, who played Nora Buchanan on “One Life to Live,” spoke with us about the show’s nomination for “Best Drama Series,” and the shock it was to find out it was included in the regular categories.

Smith also spoke about her company, “The Orignal iWrap” by Kissmith Designs (Smith and Adrienne Kissel), which she was sporting on the red carpet. The actress also clarified the her recent Twitter exchange surrounding Jill Farren Phelps and “OLTL.”

“I think everyone is entitled to their opinions, and I just needed to go on the record. What it comes down to is that there are really smart people out there. Everybody is working their butts off to keep shows around, and it’s hard right now. Cheers out there to everyone. I mean, ‘OLTL’ was canceled under Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati, and they’re pretty damn smart. Again, it was also canceled under Jen Pepperman, who was another smart producer.”
