Sean Kanan has been a fan favorite for many years. He recently made a return to ABC Daytime’s “General Hospital” as AJ Quartermaine. TV Guide’s Michael Logan has reported that Kanan is leaving the show, but is heading back to “The Bold and the Beautiful” as Deacon Sharpe.

While the decision for the exit was mutual, Kanan will be seen on “GH” a few weeks after his last tape date of March 28th. He reports back to “B&B” in mid-April, and is set to mark his first re-appearance on June 13th.

Within the past week, we saw the character of AJ get shot by Sonny Corinthos shortly after learning who was the real murderer behind Connie Falconeri’s death. Kanan gave TV Guide a statement on his “GH” stint:

“I was utterly thrilled to be brought back to GH for the 50th anniversary and really enjoyed working with [executive producer] Frank Valentini, but I was not over the moon about the writing. Doing stories about panic attacks and relish was not what I thought I’d signed up for. I feel I brought everything I could to the character yet it was obvious they weren’t going to give me a great love story, which I found very disappointing.”

So, what’s in store for Deacon Sharpe when Sean Kanan returns to Los Angeles? We have to tune in on June 13th to find out.
