In what appeared to be an end to the drama behind “Desperate Housewives” and Nicollette Sheridan, looks definitely turned out to be deceiving. The Hollywood Reporter broke news that the former “DH” and “Knots Landing” star will be getting a new trial against ABC.

In 2010, Sheridan sued ABC, Touchstone, and “DH” creator Marc Cherry for $20 million where she claimed she was let go from the series after an altercation with Cherry where he struck her on the head in 2008. The trial against Touchstone left the jurors deadlocked at 8-4 in Sheridan’s favor. Unfortunately, she needed 9 votes to come out on top.

In a surprising move, however, Los Angeles Superior Judge Michael Stern issued a new trial, even though he previously would not allow Sheridan to file claims against Touchstone for unsafe working conditions as it was too late.

Touchstone’s lawyer, Adam Levin, is planning to appeal, and the new hearing is scheduled on April 30.
