44th Annual Daytime Emmy Award Interviews: Susan Lucci!

The 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards took place at the Pasadena Civic Center Auditorium on Sunday, April 30, 2017. The biggest and brightest of daytime television were honored, and the stars shined on the red carpet.

For 41 years, Susan Lucci had played the Emmy winning role of Erica Kane on ABC’s “All My Children.” After numerous Daytime Emmy nominations under belt, Lucci finally received the statue in 1999 during the Bianca anorexia storyline. On January 28, 2005, the actress received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From countless marriages, to even confronting a BEAR, Erica Kane has been a popular character for many soap fans alike.

Lucci returned to the Daytime Emmys red carpet to honor Agnes Nixon with a special tribute. We spoke with the actress about Ms. Nixon, and what she saw that made her realize that Lucci was the perfect person for Erica Kane.
