Greg Rikaart to Depart “The Young and the Restless”

Greg Rikaart

After 14 years of playing the role of Kevin Fisher, Greg Rikaart will soon say goodbye to his Emmy winning role. TV Line broke word that the actor will be leaving the CBS Daytime soap as the powers that be opted to no renew his contract.

Joining the show in 2003, Kevin came to Genoa City as an Internet predator, who would work through many challenges to become a redeemed hero. When Kevin would need legal help, he went to the best person in town…his own brother, Michael Baldwin!

After giving Lily Winters an STD, trapping Colleen Carlton in Gina’s and setting the restaurant on fire, setting himself on fire, staging a rescue attempt with disastrous consequences, and even going to see a psychiatrist, Kevin definitely earned his way to redemption, and found himself working at the GCPD.

Rikaart has many primetime gigs under his belt, including a role on, “Dawson’s Creek,” “BONES,” “Major Crimes,” and “CSI: Miami.”

Expect Rikaart to appear throughout the summer, and his last airdate will be sometime in August. It has been specified that Kevin will be leaving town alive, which will give the opportunity for a possible return in the future.
