As the Daytime Emmy Award season is about to get underway, judges will soon begin voting on their favorite actors/actresses, television shows, directors, and writers for next year’s festivities.
Entering its 44th year, the Daytime Emmy Awards honor the best in excellence from game shows, animated children’s programming, morning talk shows, and daytime soap operas. While last year’s ceremony was not televised, fans are hoping that this year will be different and finds a home on TV. “General Hospital” also took home the big win for “Outstanding Drama Series.”

The Daytime Emmy pre-noms will be announced on January 25, 2017. The official nominations will then be announced on March 22nd. The Creative Arts Ceremony will take place on Friday, April 28th. The Daytime Emmy Award Ceremony will take place on Sunday, April 30th.
