Newcomer to the soap scene, Sofia Pernas has booked a pilot on the CW entitled, “Transylvania.” Where does that leave her at “The Young and the Restless”? According to Deadline, the actress was recently let go from the show due to budget reasons. Pernas became a fan favorite in the role of Marisa, and fans enjoyed her romance with Noah Newman (Robert Adamson).
Pernas joins the CW pilot as Coriander, who is described as an exotic gypsy, who is the leader of the matriarchal Szgany clan that runs the fleshpots of the Old City. She replaces Amrita Acharia, who originally was up for the role.
