It is official. After weeks of suspicion and wonder if the peacock network would renew its only remaining soap, the word is out. Deadline has reported that “Days of our Lives” has been renewed by NBC for its 51st year. According to the website, they also have the option of renewing for an additional year.
“DAYS” went through a regime change in February 2015, where Josh Griffith and Dena HIgley came on as Co-Headwriters. After a story of the Red Necktie Serial Killer, Bo Brady’s return and death storyline, and the death of Will Horton, the show has been “buzzed” about for the latter part of the year, which saw significant gains in vieweship as well.
We are definitely pleased to hear that “Days of our Lives” will keep the hourglass running for another year! To the cast and crew, we appreciate you all!
