Emilio Kauderer is an award-winning composer, who current work can be heard in the film, “Secrets in Their Eyes,” starring Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman. The film was written and directed by Billy Ray.

Emilio has done what very few composers have done before him…he created a completely different score for the American version of the Oscar-winning foreign language film, on which he also worked…”El Secreto de Sus Ojos,” which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2009. Emilio’s masterful music has transcended borders and cultures, and captivates diverse audiences.

Upcoming for Kauderer is The Weinstein Company’s animated feature “Underdogs,” starring Ariana Grande, Matthew Morrison, Nicholas Hoult, Katie Holmes and John Leguizamo. The film is scheduled for US release in early 2016.

Emilio is a Los Angeles-based Argentine composer, and has won many awards for his music. He won the first Platino Award for Best Original Score in 2014, and is also the two-time winner of Argentina’s Academy of Motion Pictures – Premio Sur. Additionally, he is a two-time winner of Argentina’s Critics Award – Premio Clarin, as well as a Latin Grammy winner for his collaboration in Bajo Fondo Tango Club. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors recognized him for his outstanding contribution to film music.
The Los Angeles Philharmonic performed Emilio’s music at the prestigious Hollywood Bowl, and was conducted by Maestro Gustavo Dudamel in 2014. Other symphonic work has been performed by the Washington Opera, the Pan American Orchestra in Washington and the National Symphony Orchestras of both Argentina and Honduras. Emilio was recently commissioned to write an orchestral tango piece for the Grammy-nominated group, Eroica Trio.

Emilio’s recently released a soundtrack featuring a vibrant, extended version of the film’s score. The album is available for download on iTunes – https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/secret-in-their-eyes-original/id1050165633
