Beware, Nikki Newman. Someone from your past is about to shake you to your core. TV LINE posted that Ray Wise will be joining CBS Daytime’s “The Young and the Restless” as Ian Ward, the former cult leader that Nikki and Paul Williams were once a part of.
Over the last few months, specifically after Kay Chancellor’s death, Nikki began a search for her child that she gave up over 30+ years ago. Viewers began to learn that this child was conceived during her time in the cult, which is where she met Ian.
A little soap trivia for you all: Wise first started on the soap opera front back in 1970 on the former CBS Daytime drama, “Love of Life,” and then would play on NBC’s “Days of our Lives” several years later.
Ray Wise is set to begin taping this Friday, December 13, which a potential first airdate of January 23, 2014.
