Ex-soap alum Nathaniel Marston is in serious critical condition after being involved in a car accident on Saturday. Elizabeth Jackson, Marston’s mother, took to social media to inform family and friends of the events that took place.

“Please pray for my son, Nathaniel Marston. He was in a car accident last night and is in the intensive care on life support.”

Jackson went on to also quiet down rumors that alcohol could have been a factor in the case. The highway patrol confirmed that Marston was sober at the time of the accident. His condition remains dire as he has suffered a broken neck, shoulder and ribs. He also fractured cervical vertebrae 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.

According to Jackson, after speaking with doctors on his condition, if he does survive, the actor will be paralyzed from the neck down and will have to breathe through a ventilator machine.

Marston first began his soap career as playing the role of Eddie Silva on “As The World Turns” in 1998. The actor left the show in 2000, and would soon land at “One Life to Live” in 2001. He took on the role of Al Holden, and was let go from the show in 2003. His storyline with Marcie (Kathy Brier) proved so popular, that fans showcased their outrage for his firing. The actor was brought back that same year in a new character, Michael McBain, and continued the story with Brier’s Marcie.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Nathaniel Marston and his family.
