After much speculation, and also first being reported by Daytime Confidential, Daytime Emmy nominee Jason Thompson has confirmed that he is exiting “General Hospital.” The actor first began playing the role of Dr. Patrick Drake in 2005. From his days as the playboy surgeon who wound up being a family man, Patrick Drake has had his share of romances and troubles.
Thompson took to his official Instagram account to let his fans know of his decision:
Recently, it was announced that Kimberly McCullough will be returning to “GH” as Robin Scorpio-Drake, and will play into Thompson’s exit story. Also, rumors are circulating that the actor is one of the many actors that CBS Daytime’s “The Young and the Restless” is looking to hire.
