Things are about to get a bit crazier in the Salem writing room front! Soap Digest posted the news that took the social media fans aback! Current headwriters Gary Tomlin and Christopher Whitesell are OUT at “Days of our Lives.” Replacing them are Josh Griffith and Dena Higley, effective February 16.
Griffith has extensive writing credits, including working on “Santa Barbara,” “One Life to Live,” “Hollywood Heights,” and most recently, “The Young and the Restless.”
Higley returns to the “DAYS” headwriting gig after two stints, first being in 2003, then again from 2008-2011. She also was headwriter at the former ABC soap, “One Life to Live,” which received many mixed reviews during her tenure.
What are your thoughts on the new headwriting regime? Is this the change “Days of our Lives” needs?
