The Buzz attended the Creative Arts Emmy Awards for Daytime on Friday, June 20, 2014. The ceremony took place at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles, CA.
Melody Thomas Scott plays the role of Nikki Newman on CBS Daytime’s “The Young and the Restless.” It was revealed several months ago that Nikki had a child back when she was in the cult. A twist to the story had came to light, and is set to impact a majority of characters. Melody gave us a tease of what’s coming up:
“It’s been a very emotionally difficult, and physically exhausting story. There’s no end in sight, and we’re not done. I love the story, and I’m so grateful for it. Lauralee (Bell) and I had never worked together, so we’re very excited. The claws are starting to come out just a little bit. Wait until you see what’s coming up!”
